THE SWEETHEART DANCE WILL BE FEB. 13TH AND THE GAME IS THE 12TH. TICKETS FOR SWEETHEART ARE STILL ON SALE. DON’T FORGET THAT NEXT WEEK IS SPIRIT WEEK. MONDAY IS DRESS LIKE THE OPPOSITE SEX DAY.
TUESDAY IS COLLEGE DAY AND WEDNESDAY IS THEME DAY, THURSDAY IS RED AND WHITE DAY.

CLASS RINGS ARE BEING ORDERED AT SCHOOL FROM JOSTENS ON WEDNESDAY FEB. 10TH OVER THE LUNCH HOURS IN THE CAFETERIA AND FROM 5-7 PM IN THE GYM LOBBY.

The Beaverton softball team will be selling “Beat Gladwin” t-shirts beginning tomorrow at lunch. Cost is $10.00


Sophomores/Juniors—If you are interested in any of the CTE offerings or Middle College for next year the completed pink form must be turned in to the Counseling Office by Thursday, February 11th.

Music Department Announcements:
The MSBOA District 1X Solo & Ensemble Festival was a huge success on Saturday.
Mrs. Kintner would like to THANK all the students and parents who volunteered their time and services for this years event,. Visitors in attemdance were impressed with Beaverton High School’s facility and commented on how great ours kid’s and parents were! Kudos to you all. I couldn’t have sone it without you!

There were musicians from Alpena, Atlanta, AuGres ,Beaverton, Clare, Gladwin, Hale ,Harrison, Tawas, Whittemore-Prescott and West Branch.

Musicians fromBeaverton earning a First Division Ratings and Qualifying for State on March 27th @ CMU include:
Qwynne lackey-French Horn Solo, Geena Palmer-Flute Solo, Kendra Hallett-Tenor Sax Solo, Brooke Overly-Flute Solo, Rachel Thompson- Clarinet Solo, Rachel Blaisdell – Flute Solo, and Zackary Graham & Qwynne Lackey- Trumpet/French Horn Duet

Musician’s from Beaverton earning A Second Division rating (B average) included: Zackary Graham-trumpet Solo, Brianna LaFollette-flute Solo, Adam Noyes-Trumpet Solo, Kendra Hallett-Alto Sax Solo, Krista Baldridge & Brianna LaFollette_ French Horn/Flute Duet, Miranda Temple & Tiffany Smith_ Clarinet Duet, and dani Krebs & Sarah Garner- Clarinet Duet.

The MSVMA District 1X Vocal Solo & Ensemble Festival will be this Saturday @ Roscommon high School. The following students need to rehearse between 11:00 – 12:05 p.m. in the HS Band room (with Mrs. Kintner and Mrs. Moore): Brittany Alderman, Desirae Babcock, Alicia Battice, Rachel Burroughs, jandy Carrier, Karlee Cassiday, Saranne Gutkowski, Shenice Letson, Alyssa Matta, Abby Phelps, Miriah Phillips, Harlee Sasse, Amber Sawyer, Jamie Schneider, and Ashtyn Schultz. There is a MUSIC BOOSTER MEETING tonight in the HS band room from 6:30-7:30 p.m.. Agenda items include: festivals, equipment, budget, and fund raising.

There will be a band/choir executive board meeting tomorrow(Tuesday) during 2nd lunch in the band room. Vocal students will work in the side practice rooms while this meeting takes place.

Pep band: We have home games this Friday(Sweetheart) and next Tuesday. Please realize there in NO school for students on these two days. We need to discuss this in class, as well as, work extremely hard on festival music. How many rehearsal days are left?????
