Auto CAD
Course Description: The student will gain insight into general safety, tips, and techniques of woodworking.
Grading:
Grades will be based on assignments completed on the computer.
94-100% = A 73-76% = C
90-93% = A- 70-72% = C-
87-89% = B+ 67-69% = D+
84-86% = B 63-66% = D
80-83% = B- 60-62% = D-
77-79% = C+ Below 60% = E
Attendance and punctuality:
Attending class and arriving on time is very important. Absences and tardies can negatively affect your grade. You are expected to be in the classroom and ready to listen when the bell rings. After your 2nd tardy, you will lose 1% off your grade for any additional tardies. Other information concerning absences and tardies can be found in the student handbook.
Missing Assignments:
It is your responsibility to get the assignments you may have missed. I will do my best to help you, but it is up to you to ask me or your peers.
Bathroom/Locker Passes:
Each student will be allowed 5 passes per marking period worth 2 points each. Each time you use a pass you will lose 2 points. If you have all five passes left at the end of the marking period will be given 10 points toward the work ethic portion of your grade.
Expectations:
My class is designed to create a fun and exciting learning environment where students will gain knowledge and skills. The overall purpose of every class you attend is to gain knowledge--my class is no different. My class should not be used as a break from your normal schedule. I expect you to attend my class eager to learn just as you would any other class.
You are expected to attend my class with the willingness to advance and learn new skills. By this, I mean you will give a vast effort in practicing the skills that will be taught. I also intend you to be able to help other students improve their skill level. I consider my class as a team and teams work together. You are expected to follow the rules that you have been given. I will treat you with respect therefore I expect every one of you to treat me with respect in return. I am here to teach you and I will be more successful in doing so with your assistance. You are expected to dress properly and participate in every class. Not only will you dress and participate, but also be productive, not disruptive.
As a student, you can expect me to be a major influence in your advancement of skills. You can count on me to make sure the activities you are participating in will allow you to do such. You can expect me to answer or find the answer to your questions regarding woodworking or CAD. I will treat you with respect as my students and treat you fairly. In no way will I judge your abilities and treat you different. In my eyes, you are all able to become more skilled.
I will provide every student with the chance to learn and improve your skills. My class will run in an orderly fashion with the necessary discipline to keep a smooth learning environment. You can expect to enjoy this class, but expect me to challenge you and motivate you to learn and improve.
