Course Description:This course is a continuation of Woods I and is moslty a labratory experience. This enables the student to put into practice what the student has learned. The class will study design, joints, and finishes in depth.
Grading:
Grades will be based on three factors during each marking period:
1.)Written work:25%
2.)Projects:60%
3.)Work ethic:15%
94-100%= A 73-76%? = C
90-93%= A-70-72%? = C-
87-89%= B+67-69%? = D+
84-86%= B63-66%? = D
80-83%= B-60-62%? = D-
77-79%= C+Below 60% =
E** Marking period and semester grades will be calculated using the 11 point scale.

Project Requirements:
Project approval must be granted by me before beginning. If the following requirements are not met, the student automatically FAILS the marking period.
During the course of EACH marking period a student must complete....
1. 3 small projects or
2. 2 medium projects or
3. 1 large project

Medium project- Bowl, small wall shelf, box
Large project- Night stand, bench, gun cabinet
Attendance and punctuality:
Attending class and arriving on time is very important.You are expected to be in the classroom and ready to listen when the bell rings.More information concerning absences and tardies can be found in the student handbook.
Missing/Late Assignments:
It is YOUR responsibility to get the assignments you may have missed while absent.I will do my best to help you, but it is up to you to ask me or your peers what you missed.For every day the assignment is late, you will lose 10 percent off the final grade.Late assignments will be accepted up to 3 days after the due date.If you were absent, it will be based on the day you return to class.
