I graduated in 1987 from Clare High School. I went to Ferris State University for two years and majored in Pharmacy. I transferred to Central Michigan University in 1989 and went into education. I majored in History and minored in Political Science. I came to Beaverton as a student teacher in the spring of 1992, working for Joe Devlin and Lori Balconi teaching U.S. History. I also began coaching J.V. Softball that same spring. After graduation from CMU, I was a substitute teacher for one year before taking a job at Beaverton teaching In School Suspension which lasted four years till I was hired to teach my current assignment of Government, Psychology, Sociology, and Law in 1997. At Beaverton I have coached J.V. Softball for 10 years and now am the Co Head Coach of the Varsity Softball team for the past 4 years. I have also been the J.V. Football Coach for the past 8 years. In addition to coaching I have been the Assistant Athletic Director for the past five years. In 1997 I was married to my wife Melody and we have two children, Marley age 7, and Max age 4. In my spare time I enjoy camping, golfing, and using my pontoon boat. |
