News from the Counseling Office

All Students: 

Seniors:

It's time to be filling out those college applications.   Most schools are making decisions now.  The financial aid process begins January 1st.  All seniors will get the guide to financial aid in December.  Local Scholarships will available in March.  Scholarships through the Midland Area foundation will be available on-line between February and March.

Juniors:

THe Michigan Merit Exam is coming this spring.  Keep a positive attitude and try your best in your classes.  If you get a chance to practice the ACT test do so practice makes perfect.

Sophomores:

All sophomores will be taking the PLAN test this year (practice ACT).  Try your best and remember that there is a lot tied to the MME test your junior year.

Freshman:

Remember your class is the first group to have the new high school graduation requirements.  Work hard and get good grades, there isn't much room for error.
