Monday: NO SCHOOL
Tuesday: Objective: Students will enhance their reading and comprehension skills.
Activity: We will start reading “Sounder.”
Assessment: We will read the story and discuss it.
Wednesday: Objective: Students will work to improve their writing skills.
Activity: Students will write a Journal; Topic: What is something that really bothers you?
Assessment: Students will turn in there paper which will be graded by me and returned.
Thursday: Objective: Students will continue reading “Sounder.”
Activity: Students will need to write a summary of what they read and will also be given vocabulary words for the story.
Assessment: After students are finished with their papers they will turn them into me along with their vocabulary words.
Friday: Objective: Students will work on improving their use of informational text.
Activity: Students will use a newspaper to find an article and write a summary and their opinion of what they have read; will follow the writing rubric to write their paper.
Assessment: Students will turn paper in to me for a grade.
