Sept. 26th - Students will come in and write down the mugshot sentence on the board and correct it to the best of their ability.  Students will then be asked to volunteer their corrections to the incorrectly written sentence. 

Students will then go the library to pick out a book for their first book report.  We will start watching 'Of Mice and Men'

Sept. 27th -  We will try to finish watching 'Of Mice and Men', otherwise it will be finished on wednesday.  Mug shot quiz on last weeks sentences.

Sept. 28th -

Of Mice and Men Writing Assignment

Rewrite the last chapter of the book the way you would like to see it end.  Keep in mind the storyline that has already been established and the time period that the story takes place in.

Sept. 29th - Students will write mugshot from board down and correct to the best of their ability; we will discuss this in class and correct the sentence.  Students will then be given their current number of points earned and the total number of points possible and will have to figure out their grade - incorporating math skills into English II;  Students will then be given vocabulary words for the week and given time in class to look up definitions - students will work on dictionary skills and learning new words.

Sept. 30th - Students will copy mugshot sentence down and correct it; then we will discuss the changes that need to be made to the sentence as a class.  Students will write a journal entry - topic that will be given is:  If you had a free ticket to anywhere in the world, where would you go and why? - has to be 2 pages in length -  must have correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, etc. - Students will then be divided into 2 groups and we will play current events - I will ask the questions, one team will get to answer; if they answer incorrectly, the other teams gets a chance to answer.  Teams will alternate answering first;  Each question will be worth 5 points.
