Oct. 3rd - Students will write a journal entry - topic that will be given is:  If you had a free ticket to anywhere in the world, where would you go and why? - Has to be 2 pages in length - must have correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, etc. 

Students will be given the outline for their book reports and will be given time in class to read their books. (D.E.A.R. - Drop Everything And Read) 

Oct. 4th – Students will write down the mug shot sentence on the board and fix it to the best of their ability; then we will correct it as a class.  Students will then be given the outline for their English articles.  Must be an article, TV show, or internet site having something to do with what is going on in the world today; sources they can use are: television shows, early, late, or evening news, internet, newspaper, magazines, etc. 

Oct. 5th – Students will copy the mug shot sentence on the board and we will correct it as a class.  We will review for the test on 'Of Mice and Men' to make sure they are ready. We will also have a quiz on our mug shot sentences from last week. Then students will be given time in class to read their books that they picked up in the library from last week.

Oct. 6^th – Students will be given their test on “Of Mice and Men”; then they will be required to read their books in class (D.E.A.R.)

Oct. 7^th - Quiz on vocabulary words from last week; students will be divided up into 2 groups and we will play Current Events.
