¡Hola! Me llamo Kristen Haskin. Soy de Harrison, Michigan. Hace treinta y tres años que viví en Harrison. Mis padres viven en Harrison también. Yo tengo dos hermanos y una hermana. Mi hermana y mi hermano mayor viven en Harrison con sus familias. Los dos tienen dos hijos. Mi hermano menor vive en Chicago. Mi hermano está casado pero ellos no tienen hijos. Soy soltera y no tengo hijos. Tengo un perro y un gato.
Me gradué de Harrison High School en 1993. Tomé clases de español y me enamoré con el idioma. Después de escuela secundaria fuí a la Universidad de Central Michigan para recibir mi Bachelor of Science in Education. En 1998 fuí a Ecuador para estudiar más mi español. Quedé allí por cuatro meses. Empecé mi trabajo aquí en Beaverton en el diciembre de 1999. Tengo tres clases de español I y dos clases de español II. También enseño clases a Mid Michigan Community College.
En mi tiempo libre me gusta viajar mucho. He viajado a Ecuador, Nicaragua, México y España. Quiero viajar más en el futuro. Espero que puedo tomar muchos estudiantes conmigo en mis adventuras futuristicas. Cuando no estoy viajando me gusta jugar deportes. Juego raquetball con mi padre. Juego softbol. En el verano juego golf a veces. También me encanta mirar películas y leer. Me gustan libros y películas románticos y historicos.
Me encanta mi trabajo porque puedo compartir mis intereses con mis estudiantes. Yo espero que ellos vayan a sentir lo mismo sobre el idioma. Es importante que ellos traten estudiar otras culturas. Y también quiero que ellos desarollen una apreciación por el español que yo tengo.

Hello! My name is Kristen Haskin. I am from Harrison. I have lived in Harrison for 33 years. My parents live in Harrison also. I have 2 brothers and a sister. My older brother and sister live in Harrison with their families. Both of them have 2 kids. My younger brother lives in Chicago. My brother is married, but they don't have any kids. I am single and I don't have any kids. I do have a dog and cat.
I graduated from Harrison in 1993. I took Spanish classes and fell in love with the language. After High School I went to CMU to receive my Bachelor's of Science in Education. In 1998 I went to Ecuador to continue my Spanish studies. I stayed there for 4 months. I started my job here at Beaverton in December of 1999. I currently have 3 Spanish I classes and 2 Spanish II classes. I also teach classes at Mid Michigan Community College.
In my spare time I like to travel a lot. I have travelled to Ecuador, Nicaragua, México, and Spain. I want to travel more in the future. I hope that I will be able to take many students with me on my future adventures. When I am not travelling I love to play sports. I play raquetball with my dad. I play softball. In the summer I sometimes play golf. I also love to watch movies and read books. I like romantic and historic books and movies.
I love my job because I am able to share my interests with my students. I hope that they are going to feel the same about this language. It is important that they try to study other cultures. I also hope that they will develop an appreciation for the language like I have.
